For many years our dedicated teams of stud farm vets have been at the forefront of advances in equine reproductive techniques and stud medicine. During the breeding season, our vets deliver a seven days a week service to many leading Thoroughbred stud farms in and around Newmarket, as well as in Hertfordshire and Lambourn.
A number of our stud vets additionally have expertise in assisted reproductive techniques for sport horses and other non-Thoroughbreds, including artificial insemination, embryo transfer, semen collection and freezing and OPU/ICSI.

Laboratory support for stud farms
Our in-house laboratory, Rossdales Laboratories, is approved by The British Equine Veterinary Association (BEVA) Laboratory Registration Scheme. Our efficient and cost-effective service ensures rapid turnaround of results to our own clinicians and those of other veterinary practices throughout the UK.
During the breeding season and throughout the year, the laboratory processes large numbers of genital swab and smear samples from mares and swab samples from stallions for venereal disease and uterine infection screening.
