Our experienced vets use a range of modern dentistry equipment and can provide sedation, pain relief and local anaesthesia as required during dental work. This is not always necessary, but where it is deemed appropriate, it does allow a more thorough examination and treatment, while reducing any pain or stress to the horse. This can also be safer for the horse, the vet and the handler.

Intra-oral endoscopy often permits identification of subtle defects within the horse’s mouth, which can contribute significantly to successful investigations into dental infections and headshaking.
