Billy is a member of our Newmarket stud team. He became a Clinical Director in July 2023.
He graduated from the University College of Dublin in 2012 and spent a number of years working in mixed practice in Ireland before joining Rossdales for the internship in 2016. After completing his internship, he joined the stud team in Newmarket in 2018 and spent a Southern Hemisphere season at Goulburn Valley in Australia in 2019.
Billy was awarded the Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice in Equine Stud Medicine in April 2019. He subsequently studied for an alternative track residency at Rossdales and in September 2026 he became a board certified Diplomate of the American College of Theriogenologists.
Billy works in all aspect of stud medicine but has a particular interest in the investigations and management of the barren mare, assisted reproduction techniques and the management of Thoroughbred young stock for the sales.
