Mat is a member of our Newmarket Stud Farm team.
Originally from Kenya, Mat qualified from University of Bristol Veterinary School in 2016 and before joining Rossdales he spent 18 months as a vet in mixed practice in Cheltenham. He originally joined the practice in early 2018 as Assistant to Ollie Pynn and after 18 months in that role, he completed a stud season as a resident vet at Windsor Park Stud in New Zealand. He then completed our 24-month internship at our Hospital and Diagnostic Centre in Exning before returning as a member of our Newmarket stud team in October 2021.
Mat enjoys all aspects of stud medicine and looks after both thoroughbred and sport horse studs and is experienced in assisted reproductive techniques, including artificial insemination and embryo transfer. He completed the RCVS Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice in 2023 and is a member of the Association of Racecourse Veterinary Surgeons, providing veterinary cover at point to point courses.
