Investigation and treatment of dental disorders has progressed exponentially over the past few years, and Rossdales’ vets have been at the forefront of these developments. Our dental service is unrivalled, and we are one of the few hospitals in the world that can offer individual patients specialist-level dental surgery, diagnostic imaging and medicine clinicians all working in the same team.
We are equipped with a state-of-the-art standing Computed Tomography (CT) system, which along with our radiography and scintigraphy service allows us to image patients with head and dental disease accurately and efficiently. The vast majority of our dental surgery is undertaken with the patient sedated in our dedicated standing surgery suite, using oral endoscopic guidance.
Common procedures include routine tooth extractions, minimally-invasive extractions for problematic and broken teeth, interdental and periodontal treatments for diastemata, infundibular and crown restorations and endodontics treatments (‘fillings’) for pulp disease.
Most of our sinus surgeries are now performed with minimally-invasive sinoscopic techniques, once again, using standing sedation and local anaesthesia.
