Postgraduate Internships (24 months)
Rossdales Equine Hospital and Diagnostic Centre, Exning
We offer three 24-month postgraduate rotating internships each year, commencing early January, early May and early September respectively, and usually we recruit for these in February, annually. These positions are based at our world-renowned Equine Hospital and Diagnostic Centre in Exning.
The internship is split into four six-month rotations: anaesthesia, diagnostic imaging, orthopaedics and during the final six-months, the ‘senior intern’ will oversee inpatient care within the hospital, and act as an advisor to the ‘junior intern’. The senior intern will liaise closely with our clients and referring vets.
Supervision throughout the internship is provided by our senior clinicians, who include RCVS specialists and ECVS, ECEIM, ACVS and ACVSMR diploma holders.
Interns gain invaluable experience and knowledge throughout the programme by working closely with our team of specialists. The rounded training that this offers equips interns with a valuable skillset suitable for most aspects of modern equine practice. It also provides a solid foundation on which to further their career, be that in ambulatory practice, or in pursuit of specialist training and qualifications.
