Prescriptions are available from Rossdales
You may obtain Prescription Only Medicines (POM-Vs) from your veterinary surgeon or request a prescription and obtain these medicines from another veterinary surgeon or a pharmacy.
Your veterinary surgeon may prescribe POM-V products only for animals under his/her care. A prescription may not be appropriate if your animal is an inpatient or immediate treatment is necessary.
Information on the price of any medicine that may be prescribed or dispensed for your animal is available on request.
The general policy for this practice is to re-assess an animal requiring repeat prescriptions every 6 months, but this may vary with individual circumstances.
From 1st January 2026: The cost of a re-examination will be £35.50 plus VAT (£42.60).
From 1st January 2026: The charge for providing a written/electronic prescription will be £20.00 + VAT (£24.00).
When dispensing medication, we must adhere to strict legal guidelines and all prescriptions must be signed off by a vet. Please allow 24 hours’ notice for processing your request.
Please note that once sold, products cannot be accepted back for re-sale. Any unused medication may be returned to the practice or to the hospital for safe disposal.
