Associate
Lorna Brokenshire-Dyke
BA, MA, VetMB, MRCVS
Lorna is a member of our sport and leisure horse ambulatory team in Newmarket.
Lorna, who has degrees in both Equine Science and Veterinary Medicine from Warwickshire College and Cambridge University, qualified as a veterinary surgeon in 2009. She joined Rossdales for two internship programmes, first completing a diagnostic imaging internship at Rossdales Diagnostic Centre before completing our rotating internship at the Hospital and Diagnostic Centre.
In 2012, Lorna helped establish our Rossdales Hertfordshire branch, working as an ambulatory vet. She left the practice in 2015 to focus on her young family, locuming across Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire and North London. She then spent five years as the senior equine vet in a rural mixed practice, focusing on equine ambulatory and clinic cases in the heart of Suffolk. She rejoined Rossdales in September 2021 as a member of our ambulatory team and is currently studying to turn a Postgraduate Certificate into a Master of Science in Veterinary Physiotherapy. This complements her interest in sports performance and rehabilitation.
Lorna follows all equestrian disciplines, with a particular interest in dressage. She juggles a busy home life, with her menagerie of children and animals, with life on the road as an equine vet. She is passionate about the service she provides and particularly enjoys the variety of patients and unpredictable challenges that equine ambulatory practice brings.
