Any senior veterinary student, who is aiming for a career in equine practice, is welcome to apply for an externship position with us providing they are enthusiastic, hard-working and keen to get involved.

International Students are welcome to apply for an EMS placement with Rossdales Veterinary Surgeons. Please note, however, that it is the individual student’s responsibility to ensure they have the correct visa in place to visit the UK for the full period of the placement for which they are applying.

Preference for Seeing Practice

Rossdales seeing practice programmes for students are normally for a period of 2 weeks, which can (subject to availability) be extended to 4 weeks, commencing and ending on Sundays.

One hospital externship is for a fixed 4 – 5 week period (normally from the first Sunday until the last Sunday of that month).
