What do we really know about Equine Inflammatory Airway Disease?
Jacqui Cardwell, Senior Lecturer in Epidemiology, Royal Veterinary College
IAD is a syndrome of equine lower airway inflammation for which a wide range of case definitions and assessment methods is reported in the scientific literature. Jacqui’s team are assessing the research evidence underpinning the latest expert-consensus case definition of IAD and seeking to understand what this means, in practical terms, particularly for vets working with young racehorses in training
Monitoring environmental dust in racing yards
Josh Davison, Rossdales LLP
The DustTrak™ system is easy to use, but does it provide any useful information? Josh will report on his work with this device in Newmarket yards.
These meetings are free to attend and the target audience is clinicians and academics and we aim to ensure a high level of discussion. It is not our intention to provide CPD but rather to offer an opportunity to discuss recent and ongoing research and future concepts relevant to equine medical practice.
No registration required for those attending at Newmarket. If you would like to attend in Newbury, space is more limited so please contact email@example.com in advance. The meetings are generously sponsored by the Beaufort Cottage Educational Trust and are free to attend.
