We’re proud to announce that an article by veterinary nurse Sammie Feighery, Diagnosis, treatment and nursing care of foals with diarrhoea, has recently been published in Veterinary Nursing Journal.
Sammie graduated from University College Dublin with a first class BSc (Hons) Veterinary Nursing in 2013. After graduating, she spent a breeding season at Hagyard Equine Medical Centre in Kentucky, followed by a nursing role at University of Glasgow, Weipers Centre Equine Hospital. She joined Rossdales Equine Hospital as a foal nurse for the 2017 breeding season and stayed on to become a permanent member of our professional nursing team.
In 2018, Sammie and Rossdales vet Billy Fehin spent 10 days at Animal Care in Egypt (ACE), a small charity in Luxor, Egypt with which Rossdales has had a long association. Sammie and Billy worked alongside the ACE vets and staff to help the many working equids in Luxor. Read about their experience here.
