Last week Deidre Carson (pictured main image, fourth from left), Linda Galpin (next to Deidre,) and Lorraine Palmer represented Rossdales during a visit to the East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA) base in Cambridge in order to present the emergency response team with a cheque for £2,000.
The money was generated via the loyalty scheme that nutraceuticals company Vestaplas operates for its customers. Rossdales decided to donate this loyalty bonus to charity and nominated the EAAA as the worthy recipient. We were pleased that Bruce Kilby (second image, first on right), from Vestaplas was able to join our team to present the cheque.
Rossdales partner Deidre Carson commented: “EAAA Community fundraiser Mark Wilson introduced us to the EAAA office staff, helicopter pilots, medic and paramedic who were ‘on call’. We were shown the helicopter and rapid response vehicle, and it was amazing to meet the team and hear about the emergency care they provide. We were surprised to see the amount of equipment that can be crammed into the small interior of a helicopter. Equally impressive was hearing the enthusiasm and dedication of the team as they explained how they respond to a variety of emergency situations.” Deidre concluded: “Rossdales was delighted to present this cheque to such a deserving charity and to have the opportunity to contribute to their important and often life-saving work.”
