Royal Mail workers will again be on strike in November and December and this will impact our laboratory and pharmacy services.
We understand that there are further strikes planned for 24th, 25th and 30th November and 1st, 9th, 11th, 14th, 15th, 23rd and 24th December.
With regard to laboratory samples, we would advise referring veterinary surgeons to use couriers, or to bring any samples that require urgent processing direct to the Lab in Newmarket. Routine samples may be kept at the referring practice until after the respective strike dates - if clients would like advice on what to do with samples, please contact Rossdales Laboratories on 01638 663017.
For horse owner clients who use our pharmacy postal service in Newmarket and Hertfordshire, please ensure that you have a sufficient supply of your horse’s medication ahead of the proposed strike dates, or contact our pharmacy teams (01638 663150 Newmarket, 01462 790221 Hertfordshire) to arrange to collect your order.
Royal Mail has said letters will not be delivered on strike days. Items posted the day before, during, or in the days after any strike action will be subject to delays.
