Updates in equine oncology
Anna Hollis, Senior Clinician in Equine Oncology & interim Clinical Lead, Centre for Equine Studies, Animal Health Trust, Newmarket
Anna will concentrate on research updates and the results of novel treatments for equine sarcoids. We will discuss the first 100 sarcoid cases treated with HDR brachytherapy - what we’ve learnt and how we’ve improved - and looking at the use of strontium plesiotherapy for sarcoids in difficult locations/recurrent lesions.
Dr Hollis' post is generously supported by the Margaret Giffen Charitable Trust and the Marjorie Coote Charitable Trust.
These meetings are free to attend and the target audience is clinicians and academics and we aim to ensure a high level of discussion. It is not our intention to provide CPD but rather to offer an opportunity to discuss recent and ongoing research and future concepts relevant to equine medical practice.
No registration required for those attending at Newmarket. If you would like to attend in Newbury, space is more limited so please contact firstname.lastname@example.org in advance. The meetings are generously sponsored by the Beaufort Cottage Educational Trust and are free to attend.
