Respiratory muscles: training and performance
Dr Kate Allen, Senior Lecturer in Equine Sports Medicine at Bristol Veterinary School will review of the role of the respiratory muscles in performance limitation and discuss her research and clinical studies on how these muscles can be trained.
Dynamic respiratory endoscopy in the TB racehorse - does a more specific diagnosis lead to improved racing performance following tailored surgery?
Marc Collas, Donnington Grove Veterinary Group will give a short presentation on his research on this important topic.
These meetings are free to attend and the target audience is clinicians and academics and we aim to ensure a high level of discussion. It is not our intention to provide CPD but rather to offer an opportunity to discuss recent and ongoing research and future concepts relevant to equine medical practice.
No registration required for those attending at Newmarket. If you would like to attend in Newbury, space is more limited so please contact firstname.lastname@example.org in advance. The meetings are generously sponsored by the Beaufort Cottage Educational Trust and are free to attend.
