The ever-popular Musculoskeletal Ultrasound CPD Course was held at Rossdales Equine Hospital and Diagnostic Centre, between 16th-18th May. 35 delegates travelled from across the UK and as far afield as Europe and the United Arab Emirates to attend this two-and-a-half-day course, which has been running for 26 years.
Delegates received lectures and practical sessions from an acclaimed line-up of speakers including Sue Dyson (AHT), Virginia Reef (University of Pennsylvania, USA), Roger Smith (RVC), Eddy Cauvin (AzurVet, France) and Sarah Boys Smith (Rossdales). Rossdales clinician Mariana Castro Martins led the quiz and practical sessions.
The practical sessions enabled the delegates to use superior ultrasound machines, provided by course sponsor IMV Imaging (formerly known as BCF Technology) and develop their skills on a selection of clinical cases, whilst under the direction of the expert lecturers. Sedation for these clinical cases was kindly provided by course sponsor Zoetis.
Outside of the course, delegates were treated to a busy social schedule which included IMV taking delegates to dinner on the Thursday evening. An early start to Friday morning, allowed the delegates to experience a tour of the gallops, ahead of an action-packed day of lectures, with the day ending with a dinner for course attendees at the iconic Jockey Club Rooms.
Thank you to IMV Imaging and Zoetis for their generous sponsorship and to Mike Shepherd, Rachel Clay and Clare Aitchison for organising and running the course.
This renowned course will running next year from 14th - 16th May. To reserve a place, contact Rachel Clay on 01638 577754 or email email@example.com.
