We are pleased to support Charly Rattley, who will be taking part in the ‘Dawn till Dusk’ Charity Cricket Match at Chippenham Cricket Club on Sunday, 18th June. This event is being held to raise funds for a new cricket pavilion (vital for securing the future of the Club) and for Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), a charity dedicated to funding research to find the cure for Type 1 (juvenile) diabetes, which strikes children suddenly, making them insulin-dependent for life.
Charly, who is a member of our Diagnostic Centre yard team, is an Opening Bowler and explained that there is plenty going on alongside this 17-hour cricket marathon that starts at 5am on Sunday morning and will finish after 9pm. He said: “This is going to be a great family day, with lots of activities going on throughout the day to get involved in. You are welcome to bring your own picnic along to enjoy while watching the cricket, although there will be refreshments available to buy. There is a bake-off competition, a raffle and a silent auction with some fantastic prizes.”
Find out more about this event and see the full programme for the day here. If you want to support Charly and all the 'Dawn till Duskers', you can do so via their fundraising page, or why not join in the fun and go along to Chippenham Cricket Club on Sunday?
