We are very pleased to welcome Jacqui Poldy, who has further strengthened our laboratory team.
Jacqui has recently completed a 4-year residency programme in Anatomic Pathology at the University of Edinburgh and joined us last month after passing her specialist exams to become a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Pathologists. This month it was confirmed that she has been recognised as an RCVS Specialist in Veterinary Pathology (Equine).
Jacqui graduated from the University of Melbourne Veterinary School in 2014, having previously obtained an undergraduate degree and PhD in Chemistry and Ecology from the Australian National University. After graduation she worked in mixed animal practice, before gaining experience in biosecurity and emerging veterinary diseases with the Australian Department of Agriculture. Jacqui then revisited her research background, undertaking postdoctoral studies that combined her expertise in chemical ecology with an interest in vector-borne disease, before undertaking her residency.
Outside of work, Jacqui enjoys running, hiking, and most outdoor pursuits, especially if they can involve her Australian kelpie-cattle dog cross, Gus.
