We’re pleased to welcome Evanthia (Anthi) Kolovou, who has joined our internal medicine team at the hospital.
Originally from Athens, Greece, Anthi graduated from the University of Thessaly in 2017. She subsequently completed two rotating internships in equine internal medicine and surgery at Tierklinik Lüsche in Germany and Leahurst Equine Hospital, University of Liverpool. She then worked as an equine ambulatory veterinarian across Devon, Kent, Hertfordshire and Scotland, gaining broad experience in first-opinion equine practice.
In 2022, Anthi joined the medicine team at Glasgow Equine Hospital, University of Glasgow, where she undertook a four-year residency in Equine Internal Medicine alongside a Master’s degree in Veterinary Medicine. Her research focused on respiratory diseases affecting working equids in Morocco. During her residency, she was awarded the Jane Axon Scholarship, which enabled her to spend time at Scone Equine Hospital in New South Wales, Australia, further developing her experience in equine neonatology and critical care.
Anthi is currently working towards her European College of Equine Internal Medicine (ECEIM) diploma. She enjoys all aspects of equine internal medicine, with particular clinical interests in equine ophthalmology and neonatology.
