Last Saturday, the attractive chestnut filly Desert Flower made her racecourse debut a winning one for Godolphin in the Rossdales British EBF Maiden Fillies Stakes at Newmarket Racecourse.
The Night of Thunder filly was given an inspired ride by jockey William Buick and after running a little green early on, she stayed on well to win by an impressive 3¼ lengths for trainer Charlie Appleby. We look forward to seeing her next race.
Our clinical director Vanessa Peter presented the prizes to winning connections and she was accompanied by imaging technician Rachel Pokora and vet technician Holly Rowe, when awarding the ‘Best Turned Out’ prize to the groom of the William Knight-trained Bintabuha, who finished third (below image).
