We’re pleased to welcome Archie Weetch, who has joined our veterinary team at the hospital as an intern.
Archie graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2025, where he was awarded the Martin Weaver Prize (best student in Equine Imaging and Orthopaedics), CVS Aspiring General Practitioner Prize (best student in primary care rotations), and the James T Baxter Prize (best student in selected rotations) for his performance across his final year studies.
Since graduating, he has been working in the Scottish Borders as an equine ambulatory vet, gaining invaluable experience over a varied caseload. Throughout his studies, Archie undertook numerous externships at many renowned equine practices around the UK, including at Rossdales and other Newmarket-based practices. From this, he has developed a keen interest in Equine Surgery, Sports Medicine and Anaesthesia.
Outside of work, Archie says he can be found riding, running or spending time with family and friends.
