Stefano Schiavo

DVM MRCVS

Stefano is a Diagnostic Imaging Clinician at Rossdales Equine Diagnostic Centre, having rejoined the Diagnostic Imaging team in June 2025.

Originally from Rome, he graduated from the University of Perugia, Italy. After graduating he undertook internships in North America and the UK, followed by several years in first-opinion private practice.

Stefano first joined Rossdales in 2020, completing an 18-month Internship in 3D diagnostic imaging under the mentorship of Vanessa Peter and Dr Rachel Murray.  He then progressed to a three-year residency programme in Diagnostic Imaging, based at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU), EquiTom in Belgium, and the University of Milan.

Stefano has a keen interest in all areas of equine diagnostic imaging, with a particular passion for 3D imaging modalities such as MRI and CT.
