Marta rejoined our Newmarket stud team in February 2026.
After qualifying from the Università degli Studi di Milano in 2015, she worked as an in-house veterinary surgeon at a number of studs and embryo transfer centres in the UK, Spain, Belgium, Italy and Uruguay. She joined Rossdales as a stud veterinary assistant in 2019, where she completed two breeding seasons and further strengthened her clinical skills in Thoroughbred stud medicine.
In 2022, Marta began a residency in Theriogenology at the Equine Reproduction Laboratory at Colorado State University, which she completed in 2024. During this time, she developed a wide clinical skillset in equine reproduction, including embryo transfer, advanced broodmare management and stallion fertility evaluation. She became a board-certified Diplomate of the American College of Theriogenologists in 2026.
Marta enjoys all aspects of stud medicine but has a particular interest in stallion fertility, assisted reproductive techniques and broodmare management.
