Bobby joined the team at Rossdales Lambourn in July 2020, working predominantly with horses in training and elite sport horses.
After graduating from Bristol University and a short spell in equine practice in Shropshire, he joined The Ridgeway Veterinary Group, primarily concentrating on the ambulatory side of the practice. He subsequently became clinical director of the practice’s Valley Equine Hospital in Lambourn, where his accomplishments include initiating tendon implant surgery and setting up the hospital’s Scintigraphy Unit. He has looked after numerous Classic winners on the Flat, as well as Grand National and Cheltenham winners. He has also looked after many international team Event horses, and was team vet for the British Showjumping team for 4 years.
Bobby provides veterinary services at Ascot Racecourse, Gatcombe Horse Trials and Badminton Horse Trials. He is a member of the Association of Racecourse Veterinary Surgeons (ARVS), British Equine Veterinary Association (BEVA) and American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP), and is a Committee Member of the Point-to-Point Owners and Riders Association (PPORA).
