In recent years, our veterinary surgeons have become experienced in the removal of cheek teeth in standing patients. This technique has several major advantages over their repulsion, or removal via buccotomy under general anaesthesia. The standing surgery facility in our new Diagnostic Centre has been designed to expand our standing dental examination and treatment capabilities. Our Hospital's operating facilities allow more traditional means of dental extraction or conservation to be carried out, in cases where this is indicated.
Digital radiography unit, computed tomography (CT), gamma scintigraphy and sinoscopy are available on site and ensure that treatment decisions are founded on high quality imaging. All of these imaging modalities may be performed on the standing, sedated patient.
