Members of the team before one of their training rides. With just two days to go until the Rossdales Charity Bike Ride, the team members are making their final preparations before pedalling off to raise important funds for two worthy causes: Addenbrooke's Hospital Oncology Centre and ACE (Animal Care in Egypt).
On Sunday, individuals will be cyling either 25 miles or 100 miles and each mile cycled will be vital to the team's collective goal of 2,500 miles, the distance from our veterinary clinic in Exning to ACE's clinic in Luxor, Egypt.
Since April, the team members (comprising employees, members of their families and friends) have been taking part in regular training sessions from our hospital in Exning. A photo album charting their progress can be seen on our Facebook page.
With the generosity of clients, families and friends, the team is already on target to to achieve its aim of raising £5,000 for these two charities, which provide so much vital support to humans and equids respectively. If you would like to support the team by making a donation, please visit Rossdales JustGiving fundraising page. All contributions, no matter how large or small, will be very gratefully received by these two excellent organisations.
