Popular Advanced Orthopaedic Surgery Course was fully subscribed

The Rossdales Advanced Orthopaedic Surgery Course held last week was a great success. The 3 day course was fully subscribed, with 20 delegates attending from England, Scotland, Ireland, France, Austria and Germany. Numbers were restricted in order to maximise the benefit to delegates of small groups for the practical day, but such was the demand to attend that additional delegates took part in the 2 lecture days preceding the practical day. Everyone enjoyed a superb dinner at the Bedford Lodge Hotel during the second evening.

The course lecturers were Dean Richardson, Hans Wilderjans, Tim Greet, Bruce Bladon and Andy Bathe. Andy, who was the course leader, said: "The course was extremely well received and I would like to thank all the sponsors, who included Synthes, Audevard, Dechra, Boehringer Ingelheim, Ethicon and Veterinary Instrumentation." He added: "I would also like to extend special thanks to Phil Pleace from Synthes for his invaluable help during the practical day, and to my assistant Alice Chatham, for whom this was her first course - her organisation skills have been excellent".

There are plans to hold the course again in 2014.
