Launched at BEVA Congress 2016, MumsVet was co-founded by four equine vets, including Lucy and Vicki, who have all encountered first hand the hurdles and headaches associated with juggling the demands of equine practice with family life. MumsVet is described by Vicki as a “support network and one-stop shop for information and advice for mums and dads”, created to support employees and also employers. She said: “Employers (specifically, small businesses) have a tough time with logistics when considering maternity leave/pregnancy, health and safety issues [and] employing the right vet, too.”

The MumsVet website contains news articles, real life stories, podcasts, a number of blogs detailing first hand experiences of BEVA Members throughout their studies and careers, relevant CPD and guidance for employees and employers. Find out more here.
