General Surgery
We are pleased to admit patients for elective and emergency surgery relating to the urinary tract, such as cystic calculus removal and repair of ruptured bladders in foals. The hospital deals with an increasing number of difficult wounds referred by veterinary surgeons in practice. These are frequently managed by limb immobilisation in fibreglass casts, or by the use of various plasty techniques or skin grafting.

Tumours of the penis may respond to conservative laser surgery or in more advanced cases they can be managed by penile amputation, with excellent results.
