Upper airway problems are a common cause of poor performance in racehorses and other competition horses. Videoendoscopy is used to evaluate a wide variety of equine disorders including upper airway (nose, throat, mouth), gastrointestinal or urinary tract abnormalities. Using a range of endoscopes, we can visualise these regions of the horse in great detail and take small biopsy samples for laboratory diagnosis.
High-speed treadmill videondoscopy can be carried out by our veterinary surgeons using a facility which is situated only a short distance from our Hospital and Diagnostic Centre.
