The Diagnostic Centre opened in August 1991 in response to an increasing case load, which could not be accommodated in the Newmarket premises. Modern digital radiography, ultrasound, scintigraphic (nuclear scan) and videoendoscopic facilities are available for the detailed investigation of lameness, weight loss and other clinical syndromes. The success of the Diagnostic Centre led to the further development of the Equine Hospital on the same site and both now effectively run as one unit. The arrival of the Hospital and referral case load has enabled a much closer integration and use of all of the diagnostic facilities for medical and surgical referrals.

The Diagnostic Centre has its own separate waiting room where clients are made welcome, often after long box journeys. The yard staff attempt to accommodate all requirements of feed and bedding for our varied case load. There is a live-in night watchman on site at all times.

Stabling is available for day stay and longer stay cases.
